In this paper
we summarize the researches of liquid crystal (LC) adaptive optics(AO) in astronomical applications. Dual frequency and nematic LC materials were reported to be used in astronomical observations. However
nematic LC with its simple producing and driving method and multi-gray-level is promising in the application. We have investigated the nematic LC AO system and promoted its application for nearly ten years. Here
we reported our newest nematic LC AO system with bandwidth result of 3dB is 54.4 Hz
0dB bandwidth is 79.1Hz. 2012 IEEE.

Spectra have been recorded from a Xe discharge capillary discharge source in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) region between 10nm and 70nm. The origin of the spectra have been analyzed
which have shown that the spectra between 10nm and 20nm come from the transitions of 4p-4d
4d-4f and 4d-5p by Xe 7+Xe12+
and the spectra between 20nm70nm mainly from the transitions of Xe6+Xe8+ as well. The results which have been integrated the experimental results with the theory have shown that the spectra from Xe6+Xe8+ formed in the time after the collapsed of the compressing of the plasma. 2011 IEEE.

A simple detection measurement is developed for realtime small target detection in infrared background
which can be easily available on FPGA. Basing on the difference between target and background
a predictive background is generated via restraining the infrared background with median filter
and then global threshold segmentation is used to residual image for further processing. Taking advantage of the relationship of targets in frames
a comprehensive analysis of residual image is made
and then the precise position of target is got by removing pseudo-objectives. Experiment results show that the method is simple to apply to hardware system
improve the system's false alarm rate and meet the requirements of practical engineering. 2010 IEEE.

In this paper
we demonstrated the encapsulation of ZnS: Mn2+ nanowires (NWs) and ZnO quantum dots (QDs) with a layer of mesoporous SiO 2 shell for the purpose of integrating dual emission property into one common nanostructure. The average diameter of ZnS: Mn2+ NWs
ZnO QDs
and ZnS: Mn2+ / ZnO@SiO2 heterostructure was about 10 nm
6 nm
and 22 nm
respectively. Within ZnS: Mn2+ / ZnO@SiO 2 nanocomposites
the intensity of the yellow-orange emission contributed by ZnS: Mn2+ NWs and the UV emission contributed by ZnO QDs was three and ten times higher than their individual components
respectively. The fluorescence intensity ratio of the dual emission can be tuned by adjusting the hydrolysis time of tetraethyl orthosilicate. The peak energy of the yellow-orange and UV emission showed blueshift and redshift as increasing the temperature
respectively. The anomalous enhancement of the integrated intensity for the UV emission with the temperature indicated that the high surface state density existing in ZnO QDs can overrun the influence of temperature quenching and even alter the photoluminescent properties. 2010 American Institute of Physics.

Combinatorial explosion is a key issue that leads to failures of planning for many planners. To avoid it
we modified the planner of IPP and divided its fact file into several small parts
and the method is called goal-decompounded. We also expanded the arithmetic of IPP. The modified planner we called MF-IPP able to handle multiple fact files
which avoided the combinatorial explosion. We applied the method on the GUI test case generation. The main idea was to produce the initial test case from planner firstly
and then propose a way of solution expanding to reinforce the generation. At last
we compared the performance of the two planners
and the result showed that MF-IPP can avoid the combinatorial explosion well. 2009 IEEE.

Laser treatment represents an attractive option to other methods of vessel diseases especially varicose veins. A long pulse (30-50ms) 532nm laser (Fig.1) is used in our experiments with the pulse duration matching the thermal relaxation time of the vessels and the green laser matching the absorption spectrum peak of the blood. Laser irradiates nude vein vessels directly or exterior skin to finish operation faster and to acquire the practical data for upper enteron varicose vein treatment in several animal experiments performed in vivo. The 5J-energy pulse allows us to finely occlude rabbit or dog's vein vessels up to 2 mm in diameter when irradiating them off external skin (Fig.2). Blood vessels are occluded at once and later biopsy specimens show the immediate and long-term lasting occlusion effect. While irradiating vessels directly (Fig.3)
the vessels are usually irradiated to perforate
detailed causes are still under investigation. Animal experiments show long pulse green laser therapy is a safe and effective solution to the vein's occlusion
which promises such laser with high energy of each pulse and 30-50 ms duration is an ideal candidate for vessel diseases treatment.

CdSe and ZnCdSe quantum dots (QDs) were grown under Stranski-Krastanow (S-K) mode by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (LP-MOCVD). The formation process of CdSe QDs below critical thickness was observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The formation mechanism of CdSe QDs below the critical thickness was due to the effect of surface diffusion and strain release. ZnCdSe QDs were grown based on the calculated critical thickness. Two kinds of variations in the ZnCdSe QDs appeared over time
the Ostwald ripening process and dot formation process. ZnSeS dots were grown under Volmer-Weber (V-W) mode. With increasing the growth duration
the size of dots becomes larger and the density decreases
which is explained by virtue of the surface free energy.
