The pure -NaYF4: Yb3+  Er3+ hexagonal sub-microplates were successfully prepared by the combination of coprecipitation and hydrothermal methods using sodium citrate as chelator. The size of them is about 600 nm 400 nm (side length thickness). The obtained sample was divided into two parts and one of them was annealed in nitrogen at 300 C for 2 hours. The crystal structure of the -NaYF4: Yb3+  Er3+ hexagonal sub-microplates before and after annealing treatment is hexagonal phase. Under the excitation of 980 nm diode laser  the upconversion luminescence intensity the sample after annealing is much stronger than that of the sample without annealing treatment. High temperature annealing process improved the crystallization of the sample  resulting in the decrease of the nonradiative relaxation and the enhancement of the upconversion luminescence. To a supersonic missile  a seeker could enhance the aerodynamic ability due to decrease the resistance in flying. At the same time  the primary function of a seeker has been considered as the most important equipment for a missile  due to the importance for cueing of targets and tracking for the final approach. However  the dome of a seeker  which is made up of glass  has poor mechanical performance. Especially  in the higher altitude  for a dome  in which the aerothermal and pressure loads could destroy the structure easily  it is necessary to do the thermal-structure coupled analysis due to varied materials. In the paper  to take the spherical dome of a seeker as a example  the analysis has been completed according to the varied materials consist of MgF2  Al2O3 and ZnS. The temperature loads and the pressure loads derived from the results of fluent analysis has been forced on the surface of dome  which simulates the actual Mach 2.5 in flying. According to the results of coupled analysis  the SEQV stress of the dome radium 80mm based on three materials had reached to 31MPa  which shows that the strength is sufficient for Mach 2.5  and offered the warranty to design the attaching to missile for the dome. At the same time  the results required the flexible mounting for the dome due to the displacements results  which the crystal material couldn't accept. 2011 IEEE.

Based on reflective liquid crystal spatial light modulator (SLM)  a new foveated optical imaging system is proposed. High quality imaging can be realized at any region of interest (ROI) within the field-of-view (FOV) by utilizing the SLM to correct the aberration of different regions dynamically. A reflective cassegrain optical structure is proposed  which is designed  optimized and matched with the reflective SLM to construct a more practical foveated imaging system. This reflective imaging system has a large aperture so that enough light can reach the image plane. It also makes the total length of the system shorter and therefore more practical. We also simulate and analyze the system. This kind of foveated optical imaging system can be applied in wide FOV imaging aspects to reduce bandwidth and optics complexity  and to achieve weight reduction and miniaturization. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In this paper  we prepared carbon doped nanocrystalline ZnO by pyrolyzed zinc stearate at 250C and 300C respectively. The XRD curves indicate the sample has polycrystalline hexagonal wurtzite structure. The XRD data of the sample prepared at 250C and 300C has a bigger angle shift about 0.05and 0.3respectively. That indicate the structure of the sample has some changes. The EDS indicate the sample contains Zn  O and C. So the XRD shift may attribute to the C. The XPS indicate the C doped in the crystal lattice of ZnO of the sample prepared at 300C  and the sample prepared at 250C may be only a few of C doped in the crystal lattice of ZnO. The PL of the sample prepared at 300C only has a weak ultraviolet emission  which indicates C modified the nanocrystalline ZnO surface as a non-radiative recombination center. In this process C could non-radiatively recombine the carries on the nanocrystallin ZnO surface. The sample prepared at 250C has a strong visible emission at about 530 nm. This emission band could be attributed to oxygen vacancy because C schlepped some oxygen on the nanocrystalline ZnO surface.
