英文摘要A two-phase explicit algebraic stress model (EASM) is employed to simulate liquid-liquid turbulent flow in stirred tanks based on an Eulerian-Eulerian approach. This model is validated by comparing with the reported experimental data and other predicted results by the k-epsilon model. Mean and fluctuating velocities and the distribution of the dispersed phase holdups are predicted and discussed. The results show that the EASM can give a reasonable description of the liquid-liquid flow in stirred tanks. However, the present two-phase EASM shows moderate improvement comparing with the k-epsilon model. (C) 2013 The Institution of Chemical Engineers. Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
