英文摘要Carbon@silver nanocomposites was synthesized via a photochemical process. The visible light and ambient O-2 were used to induce silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from AgNO3 in the solution of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and form nanocomposites with CQDs. The final nanocomposite product was stabilized using polyvinylpyrrolidone. SEM images indicated the as-prepared nanocomposites have an average size of similar to 21 +/- 5 nm. Some evidences for the combination of AgNPs and the CQDs were observed in FTIR, UV-Visible spectroscopy, as well as the fluorescence spectroscopy upon composition. The combination of the as-prepared nanocomposites and cephalexin showed synergistic antibacterial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. A possible mechanism for the antibacterial effect was also proposed.
