英文摘要Time-frequency analysis is commonly used to diagnose the health of rolling bearings by processing vibration signals captured from the bearings. However, it cannot be guaranteed to be robust if the bearing signals are overwhelmed by large noise. In this paper, combining empirical mode decomposition (EMD) with spectral kurtosis (SK), a hybrid method to estimate initial faulty time of rolling element bearing is proposed. Firstly, EMD method is applied to decompose the raw vibration signal. The synthesized signal is then filtered by using an optimal band-pass filter based on SK. Finally, the energy of the filtered signal is calculate and fitted. The test data recorded the whole bearing life is used to validate the efficiency of the proposed method. The results show that the method can identify the faults earlier.
