英文摘要In the process of electrical explosion of wire ignited by gas discharge, the gap length δ between the wire and electrode affects the energy density and the products of the wire. To understand the mechanism of this influence, we measured the voltage and current in the explosion experiments with various air gaps, and established a theoretical model to examine the results. We also collected the explosive products and statistically analyzed their mean particle diameters. The results show that, the voltage and current on the wire hardly changes with the increasing δ, though their peaks were slightly delayed. With the increase of δ, the energy density decreases by 1.67 J/mm. For the explosion with the same initial charging voltage but different δ, the diameters of the nanoparticle products follow the normal distribution approximately, while their mean value barely changes.
