Amorphous Ni-P materials for high performance pseudocapacitors

英文摘要Among numerous active electrode materials, nickel phosphides have received extensive attention as promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. In this work, amorphous Ni-P with excellent electrochemical behaviors are successfully synthesized by a facile solvothermal method and served as pseudocapacitive materials in alkaline electrolyte. Compared to the crystalline Ni-P materials, the amorphous Ni-P exhibit a large specific capacitance of 1597 F g(-1) at a current density of 0.5 A g(-1) and good cycling stability (71.4% retained after 1000 cycles). An AC//Ni-P asymmetric capacitor could be cycled reversibly in the high-voltage region of 0-1.6 V, and the specific capacitance of 105 F g(-1) at 5 mV s(-1). The excellent performance makes amorphous Ni-P promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
