英文摘要The breeding blanket will be the most important functional component generating tritium as fuel for a nuclear fusion reactor to maintain the D-T reactions. It is very significant to investigate the tritium generation rate and its distribution in a blanket system to achieve an effective blanket concept before any engineering activities startup. A neutronics probe ball method is proposed to estimate tritium generation rate for fusion blanket. And 150 probe balls in the range of 0.4-1 mm are employed in the neutronics model to occupy the probe positions, the radii of probe balls are increased gradually along with the radial direction considering neutron deep penetration. The total statistical variance is controlled within 2 % using 10 million incident neutrons. The proposed method provides an accurate solution on tritium generation rate using multi-point detection method for fusion engineering or other fields later.
