英文摘要A pressure-assisted semi-carbonization process was utilized to produce green pitch coke with self sintering property for manufacturing self-sintered nanopore-isotropic graphite (SG) to be used in molten salt nuclear reactor. Microstructure and properties of SG were carefully investigated. Results indicated SG had not only dense and homogeneous structure but also remarkable properties such as high bending strength of 80 MPa, high compressive strength of 172 MPa, low open porosity of 10% and small median pore diameter of 40 nm. Component analysis indicated that green coke had adequate composition, which gave its good self-sintering property and excellent performance of resulting SG. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
