英文摘要 | Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) is one of the most important frontier research now. In ICF experiment, fusion fuel like deuterium, tritium, helium is filled into an ICF pellet and heated by lasers directly or indirectly to initiate nuclear fusion reaction. Before every experiment, the amount of fusion fuel in ICF pellets should be accurately determined to analyze the result. However, the amount of fuel gas in the target is so little that it's not easy to measure. As a high sensitive analysis method, Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS) could be used to measure the low amount of gas in ICF pellet, but is still confronted with the difficulty that fuel gas will leak from the pellet so that it can't be measured in vacuum. Besides, a fast measurement method is needed because the fusion fuel in some pellets has a high leakage rate. In this work, an external beam RBS system established in Fudan University was used to measure helium in ICF target. The accuracy of the system was verified firstly by measuring a helium contained sample, and comparing the result of it with RBS, Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis (ERD). The result of external beam RBS agrees well with the other two methods. Whereafter, a hollow glass microsphere (HGM) pellet was filled with helium and studied with this external RBS system. The obtained RBS spectrum was analyzed with SIMNRA and the helium amount and the half life of gas reservation of the pellet was calculated. The half life of gas reservation of the pellet studied in the work was calculated to be 45 minutes. |
