英文摘要	PURPOSE:To simplify the assembling and adjustment of an external resonator type semiconductor laser device, while reducing the possibility of its deterioration with age and assuring its stable performance, by a method wherein a resonator composed of a polarization face control element, reflectors, etc., and a semiconductor laser are formed into one body to be integrated. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 7 and a Faraday rotor 33 are bonded to each other holding between the two a film 76, its respective edge faces being coated for avoiding the reflection in the interfaces thereof while the other edge face of substrate 7 and the other edge face of Faraday rotor 33 are coated with films respectively playing the role of reflectors 42 and 4 A resonator 6 formed of the substrate 7, the Faraday rotor 33 and the reflectors 41, 42 is mounted on a heat sink 8 to add to the heat dissipating efficiency. In such a constitution, the resonator 6 can be composed of the substrate 7 comprising a double refractive material with a semiconductor laser buried therein, the Faraday rotor 33 bonded onto one end of the substrate and the reflectors formed on the other ends of substrate 7 and the Faraday rotor 33 so that all parts may be integrated to facilitate the assembling and adjustment of the semiconductor laser device.
