英文摘要PURPOSE:To ensure a high powered and multifunctional device by forming a plurality of monolithic semiconductor lasers, resonator end faces of which are composed of etched mirrors and arranging them so that optical axes of a plurality of the semiconductor lasers can be intersect at one point CONSTITUTION:Five pcs. of lasers 1-5 are accumulated on a GaAs substrate 10 and their resonator end faces are composed of etched mirrors. The lasers 1-5 are arranged so that they are closer to each other at a side of an outgoing plane and are separated at the opposite side and then, each optical axis can intersect at one point. Thus, numerous lasers can be utilized by a simple optical system and the array type lasers arranged fanwise make heat dissipation due to lasers' driving current larger.
