中文摘要Red Bi4Ge3O12 (BGO) crystals were obtained by the vertical Bridgman method.The absorption/transmittance spectra ofredBGOinthevisibleandnear-infrared(NIR)regions were measuredatroomtemperature.The luminescence and decay time in the NIR region werethenmeasureddowntoatemperatureof8K.Abroad emission band was foundatapproximately1150nmat To200 K,andtheluminescencelifetimewas measuredatseveralhundredmicroseconds.Decreasedtemperatureledtoincreasedluminescenceintensity.We report that red BGO is apromising cryogenicscintill at or for experimentalrare-eventresearch.
