Two Surface erosion modes of amorphous alloys after helium ions irradiation

英文摘要The amorphous alloys Fe77B16Si5Cr2, Ni78B14Si8, etc. under helium ions bombardment were studied by scanning electron microscope, JEM-1200EX/S. Two surface deformation modes, i.e. blistering and flaking behaviour had been observed. The results show there is a dependence of the surface erosion mode on dose rate. Thickness of blistering is equal to the mean projected range, while that of flaking is less than the range. The gas driven model and the lateral stress driven model were used to explain the mechanism of blistering and flaking respectively.
