Design and experimental study on whirl aero-valve for pulse detonation engine

英文摘要In order to study the air-breathing pulse denotation engine (PDE), whirl aero-valves of different configurations were designed. The ??closed?? plane of aero-valve thrust wall was constituted by the curved blade. The drag coefficients of different aero-valves were obtained by experimental study and calculation using specific structural parameters, and the distinction of these drag coefficients was widely remarkable, showing consistency with theoretical calculations. The detonation combustion experiments show that the aero-valve with a larger drag coefficient can produce detonation waves, and the pulse detonation engine can achieve coordinated action if the aero-valve drag coefficient is bigger than 10, and blockage ratio more than 60 percent. The design principles and the theoretical calculation method about aero-valve were obtained. These results are very useful for optimal design of aero-valve.; EI; 0; 7; 1471-1477; 25
