英文摘要 | The most challenging problem of J2EE application deployment is to determine which components should be deployed onto which servers in terms of non-functional properties. This paper proposes an empirical approach with some mathematic enhancement. It does two contributions to J2EE application deployment: 1) patterns are adopted to specify why, when, where and how to deploy so that the empirical approach becomes more comprehensible and operational; 2) a mathematic framework to analyze the deployment cost is defined for helping the selection of the best-of-breed pattern.
