英文摘要 | The continuous growth of IP traffic in combination with emerging applications with various bandwidth demands is driving the introduction of elastic optical network (EON) with flex grid. EON can increase spectrum utilization by better matching data rate with the allocated bandwidth and improve the spectral efficiency by multi-carrier and high-order modulation solutions. In this article the architecture and key technologies for physical layers of EON will be introduced. We propose optical-comb based bandwidth-variable optical transponder and optical switching node supporting software definition. Key technologies for physical layer of elastic optical networks are experimentally demonstrated, including bandwidth-variable add/drop, subband switching, spectrum conversion, defragmentation and multicasting for optical superchannel. ? 2014 IEEE.; EI; 0 |
