中文摘要This thesis studies infrared acoustooptic tunable filters(AOTF) in theory and experiment. The theory part includes the basis theory of acoustooptic interaction and theoretical study of an infrared acoustooptic tunable filter. The experiment part includes design, fabrication, measurement and applications of infrared AOTF. The first chapter introduces the development of AOTF and its recently progress. The 2nd chapter deals with the basis theory of acoustooptic interaction. On the basis of analysing Raman-Nath acoustooptic diffraction, the character-length of acoustooptic devices is deduced by using the idea of moment mismatch. By representing the elastooptic effect, A new coupled wave analysis for the acoustooptic interaction is presented. The 2rd chapter is studying an infrared AOTF theoretically. the principle of operation of the acoustooptic filter is disscussed and then the expressions for the filter characteristics are derived. The advantages and disadvantages of various filter configurations are compared. A new formula for AOTF efficiency is presented. The restraint relations of the various characteristics of AOTF are briefly discussed. Three types of particular infrared AOTF are studied, i.e. transverse configuration type, ultra-wide band type and large deflection angle type. The piezoelectric transducer theory is also discussed. The multilayer "acoustic broaden" technique and the principle of central frequency shift-down are presented. the 4th chapter is studying an infrared AOTF experimentally. Two kinds of transverse configuration infrared AOTF are designed and fabricated. A microcomputer - controlled RF driver is developed. The characteristics of the RF driver and the infrared AOTF are measured, being well coincident with the design result. The deflection effect of an infrared AOTF are observed and explained in our experiment. Using the AOTF, rapid spectrum scanning is experimented. Laser detection and others application of the AOTF are discussed.
