Fabrication of Mg0.48Zn0.52O Nanowires Ultraviolet Photosensors via Catalyst-Free Chemical Vapor Deposition

英文摘要The alloying of MgO with ZnO to fabricate Mg-doped zinc oxide (MgZnO) can gradually adjust the band gap from 3.37 to 7.7 eV, which enlarges the UV radiation detection range from visible blind to solar blind. Here, we report a method of producing high-quality MgZnO nanowires (NWs) through chemical vapor deposition without catalysts. The morphology and structure transformations have been carefully characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. We found that the PL spectra of Mg0.48Zn0.52O NWs exhibit an apparent hypsochromic shift from 392 nm to 376 nm. This strategy demonstrates toilless and reliable fabrication of MgZnO nanowires without any catalyst and directs the preparation of optoelectronic devices without any treatment. It is beneficial for various applications in nanoelectronics and optoelectronics.
