Effects of combined addition of mo-b on transformed microstructure of ultra high-strength pipeline steels

英文摘要The transformation characteristic, microstructure and microhardness for ultra high-strength pipeline steels with different ratios of contents of mo and b-(s) r-mo/b(s) (b-(s): effective boron in steel) were investigated. combined additions of mo and b can more effectively increase the hardenability, volume fraction of lower bainite and hardness of the steel than individual addition. the experimental results showed that there existed an optimum value of r-mo/b(s) to achieve the optimum microstructure and the highest microhardness. the mechanism for the effect of combined addition mo-b on ultra high-strength pipeline steels was also discussed.
