英文摘要Spatial heterogeneity of soil respiration and its temperature sensitivity poses great challenge to accurately estimating carbon flux in global carbon cycling, which have been researched mostly on flatlands but few in hillslope ecosystems. On an eroded slope (35°) of the semiarid Loess Plateau, soil respiration, soil moisture and soil temperature were in situ measured at upper and lower slope positions in triplicates from 2014 till 2016, with soil biochemical and microbial properties also being measured. Results showed that soil respiration was significantly greater (by 44.2%) at lower slope position (2.6 μmol m–2 s–1) than at upper slope position, so were soil moisture, carbon, nitrogen fractions and root biomass. However, the temperature sensitivity did oppositely by 13.2%. Soil fungal community changed from being Basidiomycota-dominant at upper slope position to being Zygomycota-dominant at lower slope position, corresponding with greater β-D-glucosidase activity at upper- than at lower- slope position. We concluded that soil respiration was enhanced by erosion-induced greater soil moisture, root biomass and carbon, nitrogen contents at lower- than at upper- slope position. Moreover, the greater soil respiration and lower temperature sensitivity at lower slope position was a product partly of copiotrophs replacing oligotrophs. Such spatial variations along slopes must be properly accounted for when estimating the carbon budget and feedback of future climate changes to hillslope ecosystems.
