英文摘要 | The European XFEL is a Free Electron laser using the principle of Self Amplified Spontaneous Emission (SASE). It starts at the DESY campus in Hamburg and ends after 3.5km in the City of Schenefeld, Germany. It is completely installed in subterranean tunnels. Three undulator systems with length up to 220m cover the wavelength range from 0.5 to 50 Angstroems. With a total magnetic length of 455m they are the largest worldwide. The production of the total of 91 undulators in specs and in time was a special challenge. The presentation gives an overview over the undulator systems and the production strategy. |
