英文摘要The differential acceleration between a rotating mechanical gyroscope and a non-rotating one is directly measured by using a double free-fall interferometer, and preliminary 20-cm experimental results show that no apparent differential acceleration has been observed at the relative level of 2x10(-6). This means that the equivalence principle is still valid for rotating extended bodies, i.e., the spin-gravitation interaction between the extended bodies has not been observed at this level. A careful error analysis is presented, and the according experimental improvement is achieved. The current background limit for 10 m-free-fall comes to about 2.6x10(-7).
