英文摘要 | Quartz cement is major cement in most sandstone. NanoSIMS can achieve the spatial resolution demand for in-situ analysis of trace elements in quartz cement at a submicron scale. However, due to the lack of a quartz reference material documented, important trace elements (Al, Ca and Mg) in quartz cement have not been researched widely. In this study, quartz glass was made mainly via fine grinding, melting at normal pressure and 2000 degrees C for 6 hours and rapid cooling within 7 minutes. The homogeneity of Al, Ca and Mg in the quartz glass was demonstrated with Camera NanoSIMS 50L at a submicron scale. The contents of these elements were determined with an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer and Laser Ablation-Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer. Relative sensitivity factors about Al, Ca and Mg demonstrate these results are consistent and reasonable. This quartz glass may serve as a reference material for in-situ analysis of the trace elements in quartz at a submicron scale. |
