英文摘要	周宁，厦门大学中文系教授、博士生导师； 张春晓，厦门大学中文系博士研究生，苏州大学文学院教师。; 【中文摘要】当前学界对跨文化形象学研究提出了一些批评意见：“世界的中国形象”是“西方的中国形象”的复制；西方与非西方处于“主体/他者”的二元关系中，从而陷后者于建构主体性的两难境地；跨文化形象学研究的价值立场可能背叛它的学理性。事实上，在“中国的自我想象”问题上，中国的自我想象话语固然受到西方影响，但终究是从自我的主体性出发，挪用和重写了西方话语。在现代民族国家之外建构另类现代性，仍面临着理论与实践的双重困境。 【Abstract】The paper responds to a few important critiques on transcultural studies of imagology: The study on the world’s images of China just seems to copy the Western images of China. Because of post-colonialist dualism， the NonWests are always in a dilemma of constructions of their own subjectivities. And transcultural studies of imagolog also have their own suspicious position of values. The discourses of China's self-imagination are certainly afected by the West. However， China can displace and re-write the Western images of China to construct her own subjectivity. Moreover，can we envisage an alternative modernity in a de-nation-state way?
