| 英文摘要 | 在东南亚华人研究领域，殖民地时代的华文教育始终是海内外学界十分关注的重要课题之一，并已有相当的学术成果积累。然而现有的研究显示，受制于原始资料缺乏及具体的历史与社会变迁等因素，中国学术界对该课题的研究还存在较大的拓展空间，尤其对东南亚华文教育的具体运作、华校的管理等方面还了解甚少。本文运用第一手的会议记录、账本、特刊、报刊等华人社会历史文献，在十九世纪末二十世纪初中国与新加坡社会变迁的历史脉络下，以新加坡第一所现代华文学校应新学校为个案，从华文学校的董事部的组成与基本功能、以校长为主导的学校教务行政系统及其运作、华校的办学经费等方面，具体地讨论东南亚移民时代的华人社会，如何在历经最初的华商办学...; In the field of Southeast Asia Chinese research, the education in colonial times is always one of the important issues for the scholars at home and abroad, and academia circle has accumulated quite achievements.
