| 英文摘要 | 中国是一个海陆兼备的国家。近代以来，中国人寻求西南出海口的步伐从未停止过，修建滇缅铁路就是这种不懈努力和尝试的突出代表。在历代国人提出的各种修建滇缅铁路的构想和方案背后，其所代表的追求和努力方向都是一致的，即克服中国西南内陆地区交通落后、远离东部海港的弊端，利用毗邻印度洋沿岸国家缅甸的地缘优势，建构最便捷的通向海外的交通线，规避主要依赖太平洋水路的单一性，实现“两洋”战略。 十九世纪中期，英国连接云南与缅甸的铁路计划开启了滇缅铁路修筑的历史。通过《中英续议缅甸条约》和数十次的探路，英国成功获得滇缅铁路的修筑权，逐步把滇缅铁路的具体路线确定下来，滇缅铁路计划得以成形。通过滇缅铁路，英国将实现中...; China is in possession of both broad land and territorial sea.
