英文摘要National Natural Science Foundation of China [51031003, 51171159]; Ministry of Science and Technology of China [2009DFA52170]; Ministry of Education of China [20120121130004]; National Key Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) [2012CB825700]; China Aviation Industry Group; The phase equilibria of the Fe-Nb-Si ternary system were investigated by electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA), back scattered electron (BSE), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) on the equilibrated alloys. In this study, three isothermal sections of the Fe-Nb-Si ternary system at 1200 degrees C, 1100 degrees C and 1000 degrees C were respectively determined and six ternary compounds were confirmed. The obtained experimental results show that there are large solubilities of Si in the epsilon NbFe2 and mu FeNb phases. The newly determined phase equilibria of the Fe-Nb-Si system will provide useful information for silicon steels development. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
