英文摘要	前人多以为南澳气专指东沙群岛,本文提出南澳气还包括东沙群岛东北的台湾浅滩。南澳气的原名应是南澳崎,指南澳岛的延伸海岬。宋末元初,中国人开辟了从福建经台湾到菲律宾的东洋新航路,更加熟悉南澳气,并为之命名。于是宋代原指西沙群岛、中沙群岛的千里长沙扩展到了南澳气,所以千里长沙在明清时代演变为万里长沙。与此同时,中国人对南海诸岛也更加了解,所以宋代还是专指南沙群岛的万里石塘在元明时期也包括西沙群岛。因为宋元时代中国人在南海的航海事业大发展,导致南海诸岛出现命名一体化的趋势。; Nan Ao Qi ( 南澳气) refers to not only Dongsha Islands,it also includes Taiwan Shoal.Nan Ao Qi ( 南澳气) ,originally named Nan Ao Qi ( 南澳崎) ,means the cape of Nan’ ao Island.The Chinese opened up a new route from Fujian to Taiwan and the Philippines in the late Song and early Yuan Dynasties and named the islands "Nan Ao Qi".Thus Nan Ao Qi become part of "Qianli Changsha ( Thousands Miles Long Shoal) ",which referred to Xisha Islands ( West Shoal Islands) and Zhongsha Islands ( Middle Shoal Islands) in the Song Dynasty and later was changed into"Wanli Changsha ( Million Miles Long Shoal) "during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Since the Chinese had a better knowledge about the South China Sea,the name "Wanli Shitang ( Million Miles Long Coral Reef) ",which referred to Nansha Islands in the Song Dynasty,also included Xisha Islands during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.The development of the Chinese navigation during the Song and Yuan Eras brought about the stand-ardization of names for islands in the South China Sea.
