中文摘要	采用文献资料调研法、访谈法,调查了英塘村蔡厝“青阳蔡氏族谱”和访谈了各流派的主要代表人,在全国武术挖掘整理工作成果及国际南少林五祖拳联谊会资料的基础上,就拳名及其内容实质、源流的各种说法用比较法、反证法、归纳法及体育人类学的田野调查法作了深入研究。结论:(1)五祖拳并非五种拳术的总称;五祖拳不是由五个和尚所传;五祖拳并非等同于过去的太祖拳;蔡玉明先生是五祖拳的创始人,而不只是“一代宗师”;(2)五祖拳学术上的命名可根据师承的不同,区分为“五祖××拳”,并根据历史习惯冠于“南少林”二个字,以示属于福建南派武术体系。; Through the massive collection of material,according to the heritages from family and master,by investigating "the Qingyang Cai genealogy" of Yingtang Village and visiting main representatives of various schools,on the basis of the documents from national wushu excavations and International Wu Zu Quan Fraternity,the paper discusses different views on the name wu zu quan,its essence and its source by means of comparison,apagoge,induction and so on.Conclusions are drawn: 1."Wu zu quan" is not made up of five kinds of martial arts;it is not passed down by five monks;it is not equal to "tai zu quan" in the past;Cai Yuming is more than a grandmaster of the time,he is the right inventor of "wu zu quan".2.Academically,"wu zu quan" may be named differently according to different ancient masters,such as "wu zu ×× quan".And "South Shaolin" can be added before it according to the historical custom,indicating that it belongs to the south school of wushu in Fujian Province.; 【作者单位】集美大学体育学院；厦门市教育科学研究院福建厦门361021；福建厦门361003；【作者英文名】WENG Xin-hui1,WEN Mu2 (1.Physical Education College,Jimei University,Xiamen 361021,China;2.Xiamen Research Institute of Educational Science,Xiamen 361003,China)
