中文摘要The signals from chaff clutter over the oceanic were simulated to evaluate the effects of the passive interference and optimize a passive interference strategy. A statistical model of the chaff cloud scattering and echo signal envelope was used to simulate the chaff clutter with multipath effects and the effective scattering coefficient of the chaff cloud as well as the multipath effects. Simulations show that chaff clouds deployed on the sea might have 4 times the power compared with those deployed in free-space. The simulated data compared well with data from actual measurements.
