中文摘要清华大学计算机科学与技术系,普适计算教育部重点实验室,北京,100084摘要:当前的计算模式正在从单机计算,向分布式计算,移动计算进而向普适计算模式发展。对于这样的计算模式,需要相应的技术来辅助其实现。DirectShow技术是Microsoft公司提出的在Windows平台上开发高性能多媒体应用的编程接口技术,已被广泛应用到诸如文件播放、视频点播、数据采集等多种应用领域。本文介绍了DirectShow技术在分布式多媒体计算和普适计算上的应用,通过对一个具体实例的结构设计分析提出了一套基于DirectShow技术的分布式多媒体计算和普适计算的底层多媒体信息处理开发框架。这种开发框架可以快速高效的实现,符合普适计算的特点需求而且可扩展性强。; Current computing model is developing from the stand-alone computing to the distributed computing, the mobile computing and further to the ubiquitous / pervasive computing. We need to discover the corresponding able technology to support the new computing model. DirectShow technology is a programming interface technology for developing high performance multimedia application on windows platform proposed by Microsoft Corp. It has been widely used on various applications, such as media file playback, video on demand, multimedia data collection and so on. In this paper, we first introduce the DirectShow technology and then conclude its suited characteristics for solving implementation problems of distributed multimedia computing and pervasive computing, which are modularization, compatibility and expansibility. Together with the introduction of distributed multimedia computing and pervasive computing, we then conclude the features which are necessary for the system framework of distributed multimedia computing and pervasive computing. Corresponding to these features, we present the relevant usages of DirectShow for the implementation of system framework of the distributed multimedia computing and pervasive computing. With the help of a practical sample which is the design of distributed on the spot multimedia meeting archive system, we also present a low level framework of multimedia information processing for distributed multimedia computing and pervasive computing development based on DirectShow. We introduce the functions of our meeting archive system, and then we propose the system framework charts which are composed by client chart and server chart. Corresponding to these two charts, we give the implementation graphs in DirectShow. Such a framework can be implemented rapidly and efficiently. It agrees with the requirements of pervasive computing and has a good expansibility. So with the help of the idea proposed by this paper, a fast implementation of low level framework of multimedia information processing can be achieved.
