中文摘要随着视频编解码技术的不断发展,新标准不断涌现并大幅度提高了编码效率,同时也带来了运算复杂度的提升。在实际应用中,用硬件加速设备实现实时解码已经越来越普遍。测试表明,运动补偿是运算最密集的模块之一,对该模块算法特点以及硬件优化方案的研究具有重要现实意义。本文通过对多个编解码标准的运动补偿算法的分析,提取出了其中计算密集型的过程,并且以H.264为例,用软硬件混合的方法,在软件模拟测试平台ThumpSocSim上实现了一组运动补偿模块的设计方案,经过测试得出了对加速硬件的要求以及系统可能的性能瓶颈。; With the development of video coding/decoding technology, new standards are established, producing significant compression performance. But they also greatly increased the computational complexity. In practice, hardware acceleration has been commonly used to achieve real-time decoding. We carried out some tests on video decoding and found that motion compensation (MC) is one of the most computation-concentrated processes. So it's necessary to study the features of MC algorithm and make an appropriate hardware optimization design. In this paper we investigate MC module of several video compressing standards, such as H.264, MPEG4 and AVS, extract the common computation-concentrated parts so as to make an efficient hardware/software interface. Taking H.264 as example, we design a hardware/software hybrid system -- which provides high performance and adequate flexibility -- to implement MC process. We estimate this implementation on ThumpSocSim platform, a SoC simulation and verification tool developed by CPU center, Tsinghua University. A set of tests is carried out on this simulator, without OS. According to these simulation results, we can get hardware requirements and find out the possible bottleneck of this system. In our simulation environment, to achieve real-time decoding, the frequency of MC device should be about 10MHz for SD and 40MHz for HD. Bus bind-width between memory and device is a big bottleneck.
