中文摘要SIS has become one of the key projects of power plant informatization. For it is relatively costly in both exploitation and application and shares a higher proportion in total capital cost, it is necessary to discus the worthiness of investment in SIS provided that essential functions of SIS are achieved. The author concludes that the profitability of investment depends on the application exploitation based upon SIS database platform, especially the application of operation optimization technology. In light of the up-to-date operation optimization technologies of boiler soot blowing system, circulating cooling water system, feedwater pump and steam turbine etc., it is estimated that the investment in SIS of a 1000-MW-class power plant is followed by an averaged reduction of 0.5-1.5 gce/kWh in gross coal consumption, and a generating cost saving of 1-4 million RMB annually.
