中文摘要Frost formation on horizontal aluminum surfaces in forced convection was investigated experimentally for cold surface temperatures of -15 - 0 degrees C, air temperatures of 16. 5 degrees C and 22 degrees C, relative humidities of 20% - 70% , and air velocities of 0 -5.5 m/s. The experimental results show that the supercooled water droplet life time and the frozen droplet diameter decrease with decreasing surface temperature or air temperature. The supercooled water droplet life time and the frozen droplet diameter initially decrease and then increase with increasing relative humidity. With increasing air velocity, the supercooled water droplet life time initially decreases and then increases, while the frozen droplet diameter increases continuously. The air velocity has little effect on the initial frost crystal shapes.
