中文摘要The tetragonal-to-monoclinic phase transformation in yttria(3 mol%) stabilized zirconia containing 0~20 wt% Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ during ageing in air (at 300 degrees C) and in hot water (at 150 degrees C) is investigated in this paper. The changes of flexural strength and fracture toughness before and after ageing and the degradation mechanism of ZrO/sub 2/ is investigated also. It is found that water can greatly accelerate the degradation of 3Y-TZP. Whether in the air or in the hot water, a limited amount of Al/sub 2 /O/sub 3/ addition can effectively suppress the degradation of the tetragonal-to-monoclinic phase transformation.
