中文摘要Active magnetic bearings are important parts of helium turbines in the high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) power conversion unit. The instrumentation inside the active magnetic bearing needs to be cooled due to the high temperature. A model of active magnetic bearing chamber was built by GAMBIT and analyzed using FLUENT which is a general computational fluid dynamic (CFD) program. The predicted temperature and velocity fields were obtained to study the effects of the helium flow rate and the inlet temperature. The numerical simulation results show that the active magnetic bearing chamber can be effectively cooled by the cooling system to maintain acceptable instruments temperature in the active magnetic bearing chamber, including the rotator position detector to ensure the system safety.
