中文摘要The Fe-d electron occupation number has been determined for some Fe - P - Mo and Fe - P - C alloys from white-line intensities recorded by electron energy loss spectroscopy at the Fe-L2-3 edges. It was shown that the P addition leads to an increase in the Fe-d occupation number whereas Mo and C, in contrast, reduce this number. The influence of P, Mo and C on the Fe-d electron number is in good correlation with their known effects on the brittleness of steels. It gives some physical insights into the reasons for making Mo and C grain boundary enhancers in steels.
