中文摘要	Decennial insurance against inherent defects is a cover for defects appearing after the completion of a construction. Used in France since the Spinetta Act of year 1978, the inherent defect insurance has succeeded to meet the demands of both the builder and the owner of the construction: an appropriate control of construction project's risk management and an efficient compensation process for the owner in the event of damage to the property. In China where the construction insurance market has just opened up, builders and owners still did not manage to obtain a suitable cover for damage to property, especially inherent defects. The present paper is an analysis of the French inherent defect insurance model and aims to put forward its application's advantages in the Chinese construction insurance.
