英文摘要 | Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) are sounds produced by the cochlea and have been widely used as a noninvasive way to measure hearing loss in the clinic. However, only the amplitude of OAEs is used in current clinical routines and the phase information that is also essential to reflect the cochlear healthiness is entirely discarded. The results of this study showed that the phase information of OAEs were more sensitive and reliable to identify hearing loss caused by cochlear impairments. The study suggests that incorporating the phase information in OAE measurements might help improve the accuracy of current hearing loss measurements. |
