中文摘要Abstract:W e have designed,fabricated and tested a kind of large—bore NbTi superconducting magnet cooled by liquid helium to develop the stable and compact small-sized superc0nducting magnetic energy storage(SMES)magnet that can generate high power and large current for studying m aterial characteristics.The operating current of supercOnducting magnet is 350 A with maximum storage of 1.2 M J.The coil has the bore size of 480 mm. outer diameter of 560 mm and height of 500 mm.The cryogenic system takes two GM cryo—coolers to cool the whole system.The normal operating temperature of the magnet is about 3.8 K by reducing pressure of liquid helium.The high temperature superconducting current lead of Bi2223 is used and cooled through one GM cryo-cooler to realize absolute zero vapor liquid helium.In the paper,we report on the design,fabrication and test of the superconducting magnet system in detail.
