雪宝顶位于横断山地区的东北部，是岷山山脉的主峰，也是横断山地区最东的高山，海拔高度为5588米。由于纬度偏北和基带较高，山地自然垂直带谱由5个带组成，即山地暖温带针阔叶混交林带——亚高山寒温带针叶林带——高山亚寒带灌丛草甸带——高山冰缘疏草植被带——高山冰雪带。
雪宝顶终年白雪皑皑，自然景观优美，是理想的登山旅游基地，有待于开发利用。

Xue-bao-ding is located in the northerast part of Hengduan Mountain. It is the highest peak of Ming Mountain and its altitude is 55880 metres. Generally speaking, it's altitude varies from 2000 to 2500 metres, accompanying from the valley to the top. The structwre of mountain vertical natwral zones is simple comaratively. That is because of it is locating north and the basic belt is high comparatively, we can divide the vertical belt as follows: moutain warm=teperate conifer broad leave mixed forest belt, mountain cold-temesate dark conifer forest belt, mountain subcold brush glass belt, alpinr rare grass vegetation belt and alpine ice-snow belt.

There are existing differences between south slope belt and north slope belt.

It is a wondeful place for claming and travelling.
