英文摘要The concept of the atmospheric seeing was introduced first of all, and then we discussed the model of atmospheric turbulence and the origin of the atmospheric seeing parameter---r0. Many ways and instruments for measuring the atmospheric seeing was introduced briefly, the theory and advantage of the image motion measurement was discussed mainly, especially the Differential Image Motion Monitor plays an very important role in site survey, and the research about the Automated Differential Image Motion Monitor in the world. The system of Remote Control Differential Image Motion Monitor which include guiding star, image acquisition and data process, the result analysis and error analysis was particular introduced. And after that the system of Automation Differential Image Motion Monitor which include how to establish database、the requirement of the weather station、auto-selecting star、auto-pointing star、two-level guiding star、image acquisition and data process、how to save and release the result etc was mainly introduced. The research on Automated Differential Image Motion Monitor is of positive significance and practical utility. For example: Site Survey at Antarctic Pole or Tibet where the atmosphere is terribly vile is a very difficult work, but the ADIMM system can reduce the trouble; Meanwhile the long-term seeing observation for the fixed site will become more convenient with the ADIMM, through the long-term measurements we can get the intrinsic site seeing and the curve chart of seeing dayly、monthly and annual, the latter is helpful for observation plan arrangement and is powerful for improving the utilization rate of the telescope.
